how I do, what I do

question & research

Before putting pen to paper I make sure to ask lots (of the right) questions: ensuring I fully understand the brief. I then undertake an appropriate amount of research and produce a design principles document.

design

Now in a position to put pixel to canvas, I produce creative visual designs based on the research, sketches and analysis.

sketch & wireframe

I produce hand drawn sketches and digital wireframes, which help solidify the right design approach and ensure I've captured all of the projects' business objectives.

implement

The design is fleshed-out and any technical implementation takes place: either by me or one of my development partners.

I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to creative projects that bring real value for your business. Marrying creativity with technical skills, you can expect me to deliver outstanding designs that leave a lasting impression on your customers.

In a past life I was the Head of Design at Madgex, a UK-based job board software company. I have experience of building, managing and mentoring multi-disciplined design teams and have a formal management qualification.
